On the bus
Tickets on the bus
In the VRN, tickets can be purchased for cash directly from the bus driver. The range of tickets includes:
- Single tickets
- Multi journey tickets
- Day tickets
- Weekly tickets (you must already have a customer card)
- Monthly tickets (you must already have a customer card)
Exception: The RNV buses only offer single tickets and day tickets. Other tickets are available from the RNV ticket machines. Special tariffs are sometimes sold only in the vehicles and on the routes on which they apply.
The tickets are usually validated (except the multi journey tickets).
Means of payment
For the sale of tickets by the staff the fare should be kept ready to fit.
Amounts up to 10 euros can be changed on the bus. Higher amounts of money can be changed under certain circumstances but the staff is not obliged to do so.In this case, the staff may issue a receipt for the remaining amount withheld. The receipt can be presented in a customer centre or at the administration of the transport company.
One-cent pieces and two-cent pieces are accepted up to a total amount of 5 cents. Damaged banknotes can be rejected.
Complaints about the change or the receipt issued by staff must be reported immediately.
